Happy Sunday!  I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Just a reminder that there is no school tomorrow. We will welcome our leaders back on campus on Tuesday. This is an exciting week for our leaders.  We kick off our School’s Out Soon spirit week. 

 

We will have our annual Super Kids Day on Friday. This is one of our students’ favorite days of the year, filled with fun games, friendly competition, and unforgettable memories. We need volunteers to supervise students, lead activities, and help make this event a success. If you’re available, please sign up to volunteer—we’d love to have you join the fun! We also will have our Wake-up and Read event in the Media Center. We need help setting up the donated books on Thursday, May 29 and helping students pick out their books on Friday, May 30. Please sign up to volunteer.

 

Lastly, we need your help to continue setting goals and enhance our Leader in Me magnet theme. Please provide us with feedback by completing our yearly MRA parent survey. This survey helps us understand how to best serve our students and families. Here is the link to the anonymous parent survey.

EOG Preparation (Please Read Carefully)

Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th Graders are preparing to begin EOG testing. Below are a few details to help you support them with testing. 

 

Dates (June 2 - June 5)

• Monday, June 2- 3rd Grade Reading and  4th Grade Reading

• Tuesday, June 3-3rd Grade Math and 5th Grade Reading

• Wednesday, June 4- 4th Grade Math and 5th Grade Math

• Thursday, June 5- 5th Grade Science and Grade 3 RTA Assessment 

• June 9-11-EOG Make Ups (please help us avoid giving makeups the last week of school!)

 

Breakfast will be provided for all students. Chromebooks will remain at school for testing but will be sent home before school ends, with the exception of 5th graders. Fifth graders will be required to begin leaving their Chromebooks and chargers at school beginning on May 28th. They will receive new devices in 6th grade next year. Support your leader at home by:

1. Make sure they go to bed early and get a good night’s sleep each night. 

2. Leave cell phones and smartwatches at home. If they are brought to school, they will be removed from the testing classroom to prevent them going off during the testing session and causing a misadministration.

3. Make sure you bring your leader to school on time if you choose to carpool.

4. Send a full bottle of water with your leader on testing days.

5. Give them positive words of encouragement the morning of each test. 

 

Retesting/Readministration (June 16 and 17) 

Students in grades 3-5 will take the EOG state test at the end of this school year (dates above).  Should your child meet the criteria for our EOG Remediation and Re-administration program (passing the course but not the first attempt at the test), you will receive an invitation for your child to attend the program after the EOG test window closes. For your planning purposes, the program dates for the end of the school year are June 16 and 17. Transportation will be provided, and breakfast and lunch will be available.

¡Feliz domingo! Espero que todos estén disfrutando de su fin de semana. Les recuerdo que mañana no hay clases. Les daremos la bienvenida a nuestros líderes el martes. Esta es una semana emocionante para ellos. Comenzamos...Pronto terminarán las clases semana del espíritu.

 

Tendremos nuestro Día Anual de Súper Niños el viernes.Este es uno de los días favoritos del año para nuestros estudiantes, lleno de juegos divertidos, competencia amistosa y recuerdos inolvidables. Necesitamos voluntarios para supervisar a los estudiantes, dirigir actividades y ayudar a que este evento sea un éxito. Si estás disponible,por favor Inscríbete como voluntario¡Nos encantaría que te unieras a la diversión! También tendremos nuestro evento "Despierta y Lee" en la Mediateca.Necesitamos ayuda para preparar los libros donados el jueves 29 de mayo y ayudar a los estudiantes a elegir sus libros el viernes 30 de mayo. Por favor inscribirse y ser  voluntario.

Por último, necesitamos su ayuda para seguir estableciendo metas y mejorar nuestro tema magnetico "Líder en Mí". Por favor, compártenos sus comentarios completando nuestra encuesta anual para padres de MRA. Esta encuesta nos ayuda a comprender cómo servir mejor a nuestros estudiantes y familias. Preparación para el EOG (Lea atentamente)

Nuestros alumnos de 3.º, 4.º y 5.º grado se preparan para comenzar los exámenes de fin de grado (EOG). A continuación, encontrará información para ayudarles con la evaluación.

 

Fechas (del 2 al 5 de junio)

• Lunes 2 de junio - Lectura de 3 grado y Lectura de 4 grado

• Martes 3 de junio - Matemáticas de 3 grado y lectura de 5 grado

• Miércoles 4 de junio - Matemáticas de 4 grado y Matemáticas de 5 grado

• Jueves 5 de junio - Evaluación de Ciencias de 5 grado y RTA de 3 grado

• 9 al 11 de junio: Recuperaciones de EOG (¡ayúdenos a evitar dar recuperaciones la última semana de clases!)

 

Se proporcionará desayuno a todos los estudiantes.Las Chromebooks permanecerán en la escuela para las pruebas, pero se enviarán a casa antes de que finalice el curso escolar, con la excepción de los alumnos de quinto grado.Los estudiantes de quinto grado deberán comenzar a dejar sus Chromebooks y cargadores en la escuela a partir del 28 de mayo el. Recibirán dispositivos nuevos en 6 grados el próximo año. Apoye a su líder en casa:

1. Asegúrese de que se vayan a dormir temprano y duerman bien todas las noches.

Nueva prueba/readministración (16 y 17 de junio) 

Los estudiantes de 3.º a 5.º grado presentarán el examen estatal de fin de grado (EOG) al final de este año escolar (fechas arriba). Si su hijo/a cumple con los criterios para nuestro programa de Remediación y Readministración de EOG (aprobar el curso, pero no el primer intento), recibirá una invitación para asistir al programa después del cierre del período de exámenes de EOG. Para su planificación, las fechas del programa al final del año escolar son el 16 y el 17 de junio. Se proporcionará transporte y se ofrecerá desayuno y almuerzo.
