NC DOT has shared that work will begin on the installation of a traffic signal at Blazing Trail in March 2024 and will be completed in the summer.
Students should remain on the sidewalk at all times. Please stay away from mechanical boxes and out of flower beds. We have had reports of students climbing on the school sign. We encourage families to keep walking and not stop or congregate in the street to talk. Everyone should always cross the street at the designated crosswalk.
All students received information yesterday in their folder regarding Potassium Iodide and the county’s response in the event of an emergency at the Harris Nuclear Plant. Complete and return the opt out portion only if you do not want your child to receive the Potassium Iodide dose in the event of an emergency.
If you come to school to pick up your child and we don’t know you because you have never picked up your child before or do it rarely, we will ask you for ID.
If you come to school to volunteer in your child’s classroom, you must have an ID to use the district’s sign in platform.
