Week of September 12, 2022
Hello Carver Families and welcome back to another Breakthrough Week! This week will be week 8 of the first quarter. Just one more week until the quarter ends. Time sure has flown by, but we are excited to see the progress our Carver Cubs are making each day.
Please take a moment to read important school/district information/updates:
Welcome to our Carver TEAM
Please join me in celebrating - Mrs. Ashley Crouse has transitioned from Instructional Facilitator and Intervention Teacher to Carver’s new Assistant Principal. I am thrilled to have Mrs. Crouse serve alongside me and am looking forward to an extraordinary journey together.
Please join me in welcoming our new Social Worker, Ms. Allie Wagoner. We are very excited to have her join our Carver TEAM this week.
Instructional Assistance Day!
Friday, September 16 is Instructional Assistance Day. We hope you will join us in showing our IA’s and our Building Sub how much we appreciate them. They are the glue that holds us together on a daily basis. We are so very proud to have such dedicated support staff at Carver, they deserve to be acknowledged and celebrated.
Before and After School Program Update
Thank you for participating in our surveys. We have gathered the needed information to decide if we can implement programs this year and have determined that we do not have enough interest to start and sustain a Before and/or After School program at Carver. To start and maintain each program, we must have 30 students participate on a daily basis. After the pay scales were sent to families who expressed an interest, many chose not to pursue the opportunity. Note: Historically, Carver has had a Before and After School Program three times and each time there was not enough participation to sustain the programs throughout the year. There are Before and After-School Programs in our school community which pickup and drop off Carver students on a daily basis. If you would like information about those programs, please call the school for contact information.
Kindergarten News
The Dentist is coming! On Monday, September 19, Kindergarten students will have dental screenings completed at school. Kindergarten parents, a detailed explanation of the process and how results will be communicated to you, will be sent in a Talking Points message from your child's teacher this week.
Parent/Teacher Conferences
Please schedule a time to meet with teachers in-person to discuss your child’s progress during Quarter 1. Parent/Teacher conferences may be scheduled during the two weeks before we track-out and during the weeks of October 10 and October 17.
