Dear Families,

We are looking forward to welcoming our Centennovators back for the start to the second quarter. Students return to campus on Tuesday, October 15.

Office Hours with Mr. Gore

As I have not yet had the opportunity to have my Meet and Greet with families, I will offer a virtual office hour opportunity on Monday, October 14 at 4:00pm. Please use THIS LINK to join the office hour if you would like to participate.

Talking Points

Most of our teachers use Talking Points as their primary form of communication. Please be sure you have downloaded the Talking Points app to allow you to send and receive communication with the teachers of your students. Please see this website for more information about accessing Talking Points.

Picture Day

Our Fall Picture Day has been rescheduled for October 23.

Virtual High School Information Session and Early College & Magnet Fair

Student Services will offer a virtual High School Information meeting on Wednesday, October 16th from 12 - 1 pm via this Google meet link.  This is a repeat of the in person session held in September.  You will hear details about high school options and the application process for schools such as early college high schools.  Families are also encouraged to attend the Early College and Magnet Fair on October 26th from 9 am - 12 pm at Enloe High School.  Information can be found here:  https://www.wcpss.net/MAGNET

Bus Code of Conduct

During track out, our school administration met with key stakeholders in the WCPSS Transportation department to review the Bus Code of Conduct. We ask kindly that you review the Bus Code of Conduct with your students. It is imperative that our students understand that riding the bus is a privilege. Thank you for your support with this matter if your student(s) ride the bus.

Dillard Drive MS Basketball

Those students who are interested in trying out for the boys’ basketball team at Dillard Drive MS this winter should review the information provided HERE. These students should also plan to attend an information session with Coach Stafford on October 30 at 7:30am during our Advisory block. We have not yet received information about the girls’ basketball season.

Credit by Demonstrated Mastery

Our student(s) have an opportunity to gain HIGH SCHOOL CREDIT towards graduation while in middle school.  Please review the information HERE. The information, available courses, application and agreement as well as the process chart are included within the link.. The application period is from October 14 until December 20, 2024, with testing in mid February. If you have further questions please contact sfparnell@wcpss.net, our Credit by Demonstrated Mastery Coordinator.
