Principal's Weekly Message 4-7

Hello this is Kathryn Hutchinson, principal at Centennial Campus Center for Innovation with your weekly message. This message can be found on our website along with our Learning Snapshot.

Thank you to everyone that participated in our PTSA popcorn fundraiser. We are so appreciative that you not only purchased but shared with others to help us build funds to support our students and staff at Centennial Campus.

As many of you might know, we have a solar eclipse coming tomorrow, Monday afternoon, beginning at 1:58 with the peak at 3:15. The safety of our students is important during this experience. Because part of the eclipse will be starting during our dismissal time and the students’ transition home, it is important to remind your student that it is unsafe to view the eclipse without wearing ISO certified eclipse glasses at all times that they face the sun, or they must use an alternate indirect method of viewing. Our goal as it is every day, will be to dismiss our students in our regular fashion and ensure they get home safely. Thank you for guiding your students well.

Attention rising 7th grade parent's, with your child's report card a flyer was attached letting you know that for next school year your child will need 2 vaccines Tdap and Meningococcal.  North Carolina law requires rising 7th graders to receive these.  If your child has already received these please send in their updated shot record to the office.  All others will need to receive them by the start of next school year.  Any questions please contact Ms. Collins hcollins@wcpss.net.

This Friday will be your student’s first interim checkpoint of this final quarter. Remind students of our expectations as well as the opportunity to keep up with assignments to earn the VIP pass for the school dance that is coming on the 19th of April.

Thank you for your support of Centennial Campus Magnet where curiosity drives innovation.  Have a great week!
