Principal's Weekly Message 7-31
Hello this is Kathryn Hutchinson, principal at Centennial Campus Magnet Middle School with your weekly message. This message can be found on our website.
Thank you to everyone for your support and positive energy to help our students have a strong first week of school. The staff really felt such positivity of students as they came to school. Our returning students showed growth in their responsiveness and connection with staff. And we are excited by the engaging new students who continue to shine with learning who we are and how they have become a Red Wolf.
Thank you, families, for putting the focus on learning and supporting our students to know the importance of that focus. Students have done well this first week keeping distractions away including their cell phones. If you need to get a message to students that is important including transportation changes, please be sure to call the office. Your student will not have an opportunity to have their phones out during the school day.
Thank you to our carpool families for so many of you following our processes and driving lanes. Working together, our students have improved every day with the expectations to exit the vehicles in the morning and enter in the afternoon. We count on our families to help keep the parking lot safe. Please do not have your student exit in other locations. Hold your students in your vehicle until you get to the appropriate spot.
Please be sure to complete all information from our beginning of school year packet and return the forms to school as quickly as possible. It is important that we have your most updated contact information and emergency contacts.
Also, we are pleased to know our students are asking about completing a lunch form. We have paper copies in the office or you can complete the form online as well. Please get those forms in as quickly as possible.
Families, please hear the reminder to be mindful when coming to our school. We ask that you have your ID ready to show when ringing our doorbell. We look forward to partnering with you as always for the safety of our school. You may not enter the building until you have completed this process.
Our PTSA is looking for YOU to join this important community group. Opportunity to join can be found at this link. Special incentives are happening now if you join before Open House. Second, they are collecting for the first Treat Cart drive. These treats are for teachers that the PTSA delivers through the first quarter. Please sign up to help this fun event. Drop off for items will be this week on August 4th and 5th through morning carpool and arrival.
Remember our dates for our Open House event on August 11th. The PTSA general meeting will begin at 5:15 and our Open House welcome begins around 5:45 in the gym and runs through 7:30. This is an event primarily built for the adults in your child’s life. Students do not necessarily need to attend.
Thank you for your support of Centennial Campus Magnet where we H.O.W.L. with Red Wolf Pride. Have a great week!
