Principal's Weekly Message 5-8
Hello this is Kathryn Hutchinson, principal at Centennial Campus Magnet Middle School with your weekly message. This message can be found on our website.
We are looking forward to the Spring Night of eXcellence this Thursday, May 12th from 5:30 to 7:00. Our students will showcase their work from the X House. This is a terrific opportunity to welcome our community into our space and allow our student leaders to shine. Students must have an adult present with them during this event. We look forward to seeing our families to celebrate and honor our students.
Our PTSA is holding one final fundraiser this year. It is a raffle for some awesome prizes. Please see the PTSA website or visit this link to view this opportunity to support our PTSA.
Thank you to our PTSA for the special treats this past week during Teacher Appreciation. We are grateful for the attention and support.
As we prepare for our End of Grade tests, please support your student with locating their laptop and charger and ensuring everything is in working order. We will be collecting them as we get closer to testing as it is the tool they will use for that test.
And finally, I am excited to share that our school was presented at the school board last week with our Magnet Schools of America Demonstration Certified School honor. This is an incredible national honor as it recognizes the many opportunities our students and teachers participate in. Just two weeks ago our staff and some students presented at a technical conference in Raleigh on the Citizen’s Science Projects that all three grade levels have been working on. We also honor our many partnerships with the Friday Institute including this past week’s work with Crystal Island in 8th grade. One way to see and hear about the many opportunities happening is to follow either our Twitter feed or check out the front page of our website that shares that feed.
Thank you for your support of Centennial Campus Magnet where we H.O.W.L. with Red Wolf Pride. Have a great week!
