Dear Turner Creek Families,

Wow!  We have some talented and brave students at Turner Creek. At the Talent Show, students flipped, joked, sang, and danced their way into our hearts. Then, Mary Michael and the Singing Treefrogs put on quite the performance of 101 Dalmaions. Thank you to all of the parents who supported these events. We couldn’t have done it without you.  A huge thank you to Mary Michael. I have no doubt that we have the best Music Program in Wake County Public Schools thanks to her passion and dedication.

If you have an incoming Kindergarten student, make sure you have registered your child for the upcoming year.  You should have received an email confirming your track assignment.  If you did not receive this email, please contact Martha Long at mlong@wcpss.net.

Please remember that if you need anything at all, you can reply to this email or email me directly at ksmall@wcpss.net

2021-2022 Caregiver/Student Handbook (Linked)

Please bookmark our handbook for the upcoming school year.  It will be a “first stop” as you have questions about the everyday operations at Turner Creek.  This handbook will always be in “draft” form as we are in a current world where change is the new norm.  I hope it will be a good resource for you and your family.

Tardies

We have had a significant increase in students arriving to school late in the past couple of weeks.  Please make an effort to get students to school by 9:10 am.  Students who arrive after 9:15 are late.  When students arrive to class late, it disrupts routines and can be difficult for both students and teachers.

COVID Update

We have seen a rise in COVID cases during the past two weeks. Students should not come to school if they are not feeling well. If your student does test positive, please communicate this with their classroom teacher as soon as possible.
