The PSAT/NMSQT (Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) will be administered at Willow Spring High School on Wednesday, October 13, at 7:45 a.m. Registration is open beginning September 8th and closes on September 14th at 11:59 pm.

We will be offering the school day administration of the PSAT/NMSQT on October 13 to current 9th and 10th grade students.

The PSAT is a standardized, multiple-choice test that includes three sections: critical reading, mathematics, and writing. The test provides practice for the SAT. Students who take the PSAT/NMSQT are automatically screened for the National Merit® Scholarship Program, an academic competition for recognition and scholarships.

Starting in 2022 for WSHS students: WCPSS will offer the test free of charge to WSHS juniors who have a weighted GPA of 4.34 or higher. These students will be contacted directly via email about registering for the test.

For this year: All students will pay an $18 fee to take the exam.
