Weekly Message

Hello Lincoln Heights Families!

Week 2 of orientation was another HUGE success!  Thank you to all the parents and caregivers that supported our students to successfully connect with their teachers.

As we move into week 3 small group afternoon instruction will begin as will classes with our wonderful extension Teachers (Art, Music, PE, Media, and Environmental Inquiry).  I know the kids will enjoy the fun!

Important Notes:

  • Device Distribution-My understanding is that many 4th and 5th grade parents were contacted last week to pick-up their Chromebooks.  Hopefully, all others will be contacted soon.  Just a reminder, Lincoln Heights is not part of WCPSS device distribution.  Device deployment is handled by WCPSS Technology Services and we have no control of when the requested devices will be available.
  • Online Classroom Etiquette-This quick video gives reminders to help our K-5 students be prepared for virtual/remote learning.  It would be a great help if students were ready to learn just as if they were coming to school – dressed with breakfast already eaten and materials nearby.

A note from Mrs. Bobay:    Starting on August 31st, you and your student will be able to place library books on hold and pick them up from our school.  To find more information on the process, please visit  http://bit.ly/lhremotecheckout.  There are videos and directions to walk you through the procedure.  If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Bobay at pbobay@wcpss.net.  Happy reading!

I look forward to a great week ahead and appreciate your support as we GROW TOGETHER and reach #newHEIGHTS

Sincerely,

Kim Grant, Principal
