• New Year, New Commitments! 

  • Punctual School Attendance Matters: Moore Square MS’s instructional day begins at 7:30am - the arrival bell rings at 7:05am, the second bell at 7:25am, and the tardy bell rings at 7:30am. On any given day, between 20 and 30 students arrive after 7:30 am. Please help us protect our instructional day by committing to on-time arrival and regular attendance. 

  • Arrival & Dismissal: Our tight downtown location makes the process of safely moving 600 students in and out of our building complex. However, your commitment to following our procedures and treating those around you during the process with kindness are appreciated. Reminders are on the website: https://www.wcpss.net/Page/1114 We continue to work with the City of Raleigh, RPD, and our WCPSS Security team to make necessary safety adjustments. 

• Winter Dance: Our Student Council is sponsoring a Winter Dance on Friday, January 5th from 2:30pm-4:30pm in the gym. Tickets are being sold this week before school and at lunch for $2. Students wishing to participate in the dance must return a signed permission form to stay for the dance. Thus, dance attendance requires a purchased ticket AND a signed permission form. Paper copies of the permission slip will be sent home Wednesday and the link to the form is here - dance letter - permission form
