Intramurals: Will begin with flag football on Monday, August 28th at 2:30pm in the school gym. At this time, students do not need to sign up to attend, however, they must have sneakers or tennis shoes to participate. For a full schedule visit our school website. 

Morning Arrival: Please do not drop students off on the Person Street sidewalk during morning arrival. Doing so impedes the flow of traffic turning onto Person Street and compromises the safety of students using the crosswalk at the Person St./Davie St. intersection. 

Cell Phones:  As a general expectation, students are not permitted to access cell phones during the school day. Please help support our efforts by refraining from calling or texting your student during the school day. If you must connect with your student, please do so by calling the main office at 919-664-5737 - we will relay your message. 

Please join us in welcoming Betsy Reams to the Moore Square team.  Betsy is our Speech Language Pathologist, and she is currently working on scheduling as she reviews her caseload.  She can be reached at dreams@wcpss.net if you have any questions about your child/student's speech therapy services.  

Family Friday: Please join us at school on Friday, September 15th from 4-6pm for our annual Family Friday (formerly First Friday) event where you can experience student displays, demonstrations, performances, games, and more!

Walk/Run for Autism on October 14: Please consider coming out and joining Moore Square staff and students as we participate with Team Dreaming Tree to walk/run the streets of Raleigh in support of the Autism Society of North Carolina. This annual event is not only a great run/walk through the streets of historic Raleigh, with a final uphill ½ mile that will test your endurance, but also raises money for a great cause. The fee is $30, and all money goes to the Society. Join our team and help support the Autism Society of NC!

8th Grade Yearbook Ads: You can design a shout-out ad for your 8^th grader to be placed in the yearbook. Orders must be completed by 1/31. Go to jostensservice.com/student for more information.

Schedule Changes: We will not be making any more changes to Q1 schedules. If students have a hole in their schedule or would like to change for Q2-Q4 then please complete the Course Request Change form.
