  • The magnet application period is open TODAY through January! If you have friends or neighbors interested in Moore Square, please have them visit our magnet information Google site- 
  • Early voting begins today! Make a plan to vote! You can even take the bus to the polls, as early voting locations in Wake County are served by GoRaleigh, GoTriangle, GoCary & the Wolfline.  
  • We are noticing that about 160 of our parents still do not have access to PowerSchool/Homebase. PowerSchool is also known as Homebase and gives parents access to real-time information including attendance and grades. Please email Mrs. Georgette Harrington at to gain access to your child's grades. Quarter 1 ends on Friday October 23rd and it is imperative that you are able to access your student's grades through the Parent Portal.
  • Please take a minute to update your student's demographics and contact information for the 2020-2021 school year. 
  • Yearbooks are on sale right now through 10/23 for $35. After that, they will go up in price until we sell out. Also, please continue to submit your yearbook pictures to or email them directly to
  • WCPSS Virtual Early College and Crossroads Flex Fair is this Saturday, October 17, at 9:00am.
  • Mrs. Skinner is available during Q2 materials pickup, as well as, every Tuesday and Thursday until 4:00pm for library book pickup! You will be able to return any library or ELA books as well. 
  • During our pickup, every student will also receive a fun surprise courtesy of our amazing PTSA!

  • PTSA Announcements:
    • All entries for the annual Reflections contest are due next Wednesday, October 21! 
    • Thank you to our Moore Square families for coming together to help the PTSA reach our Annual Fund goal! The Annual Fund supports programs, clubs, materials and so much more for our students, staff and school. 
    • Join the PTSA Wellness training on Thursday, October 22 at 7am. Collaboration with Ligon, Martin and Oberlin middle schools and training facilitated by the Poe Center 
    • “Moore Square Votes selfie challenge” Post a photo to Facebook or Instagram of you outside of your polling place (remember it is prohibited to take photos INSIDE your polling place) or mailing your ballot or of your BallotTrax with the hashtag #MOORESQUAREVOTES and you will be entered to win 1 of 5 Moore Square car magnets.
    • Empire Eats is providing Treat a Teacher lunches where parents can order lunch for their students’ teacher and Empire Eats will deliver it. Empire Eats owns Square Burger which has been a big supporter of Moore Square’s BackPack Buddies Program. Order deadline is OCt 25th! Support a local business AND your teacher!
