What a wonderful 1st week back! Students are having wonderful learning experiences both before and after school. All the excitement will continue this week as well.
It's time to cut loose with the Moore Square Theatre Arts Department's production of Getting to Know...Footloose! Performances will be Friday, October 25th at 6:30 pm and Saturday, October 26th at 2 pm & 6:30 pm. Adult tickets will cost $5 with student tickets costing $3.
Our Theatre Arts Department has been working so hard, and now they're ready to cut loose with our Fall Musical, Getting to Know ... Footloose! Parents, friends and family can celebrate their favorite cast or crew members with a Booster Bouquet by going to mooresquarearts.com between now and Thursday, October 24th, and ordering for either evening performance! Every Booster Bouquet funds the Arts Programs at Moore Square!
Does your student like staying active? Does your student like counting their steps on a digital wristband? Do they like achieving goals? Then, have a say in the PowerPlay. The PowerPlay is back, sponsored by the Carolina Hurricanes to encourage community-wide fitness, in which middle school students log the times they commit to exercise between now and November 15. Individual students are invited to exercise at least 60 minutes outside the classroom each day. Students may log their exercise times by signing into their Wake ID portal and clicking the PowerPlay icon. As students reach the individual goal of 1,200 minutes or 20 hours of exercise, they will be rewarded with two free tickets to a Carolina Hurricanes game.
Yearbooks are on sale now for $45. Order at jostens/yearbooks.com or call 1-877-767-5217.
As off campus learning experiences ramp up, we want to remind families that when we plan and pay for trips (those with a fee), we base the cost on the number of students attending the trip. We are still required to cover the cost of a student who does not attend the trip. For this reason, we will not be able to refund the cost of field trips this school year. We appreciate your understanding.
Boxtops Collection: Parents please keep sending in you clipped unexpired Boxtops. The program has switched to digital where you can choose to upload a copy of your receipt through the new App but they are still taking unexpired Boxtops. The last day for collection will be Wednesday October 30th. Thank you, Diane Boufedji
