Weekly Message for 8.30.19
Happy Labor Day Weekend Moore Square families! As a reminder, Moore Square and all Wake County Public Schools are closed on Monday. Thank you all for generously donating to the Moore Square PTSA Fundraiser. Your donations will support our students, staff and programming.
We have reached the midpoint of the 1st Quarter. Please check Homebase/Parent Portal for updated grades. If you have questions or concerns about progress, please contact your student's teachers for a conference.
Mrs. Skinner says THANK YOU to all those who have been so generous with sending supplies for Library Lunch and the Media Center’s general use. It feels great to have your support!
Yearbooks are on sale now! Buy it before 9/28 and it will be $35 instead of the regular cost of $45. Do not miss out on the savings! Also, if you order before 9/28, you get 4 free icons for the front of the book. Order at jostens/yearbooks.com or call 1-877-767-5217.
To support families at home to help with what your children are learning in school, we have included a list of Homework Resources by grade level. The link to this resource can be found on our school website, Click on Parents then Homework Resources. Once you are there you will find resources for Mathematics Homework Resources for Grades 6-8, Math 1 and Math 2.
Parents please consider sharing your career and career journey on the morning of September 27th for our Career Day. Exposing students to a variety of careers and occupations helps students make connections between school and work and the careers they can have after school. Please share your journey and broaden our students’ horizons.
As our 2019-20 recruitment season approaches, we would like to add to our Moore Square Magnet Middle School website a place for prospective families to read about some of the wonderful things our parents and students have to say about our school. We invite you to share a positive testimonial by clicking the appropriate link below and complete the Google form. If you have shared a testimonial previously, you are welcome to submit again. If you have an area of concern, this is not the platform. PLEASE contact us so we can work to address it!
We would like a brief description--just a few sentences targeting a specific area of which you have been especially pleased. Examples could include a particular department, activity, or event, but you are not limited to these topics! We ask that you do not use specific names of teachers and/or staff in your testimonial.
The number of responses we receive will help determine whether we publish your testimonial on our website, but many positive testimonials will definitely speak volumes to our interested families.
Thank you very much for your positive feedback!
