Weekly Message for 11.2.18
Did you remember to set your clocks back? If you didn’t, there is still time!
Thank you to all the families who came out to enjoy our Fall First Friday! The student performances and work on display were truly fantastic! We also appreciate the students and parents who came out Saturday morning to support the school in our recruiting efforts. Providing the family prospective is an important part of sharing the “real deal” of Moore Square.
Congratulations: Congratulations to Dr. Jordan and Mr. Cane! Dr. Jordan will represent WCPSS at the Magnet Schools of America Conference as the county’s Principal of the Year. Mr. Cane has been selected by our staff as Moore Square’s Teacher of the Year and will represent the school at the WCPSS Teacher of the Year Banquet. Please wish both Dr. Jordan and Mr. Cane the best of luck as they move forward in the selection process.
PTSA Annual Giving Drive: The PTSA Annual Giving Drive surpassed its goal and, as promised, the administrative team, with the help of Ms. Duncan’s Dance Ensemble and Tyreek Elliot, did our best song and dance! Congratulations to the 7th grade for winning the penny challenge. We continue to be thankful for the continued support our families provide.
Veteran’s Day: Are you a Veteran or Active Duty member? If so, please consider helping Moore Square celebrate Veteran’s Day by visiting a classroom to share your experiences. This is a great opportunity to help students understand the sacrifice members of the military make as well as the impact on community.
