Help Keep Students Safe in Carpool
The main carpool lot is running smoothly. However, we need some help from parents with the back of the school carpool line. This time, it is parents expressing safety concerns about other parents. There are three main safety concerns:
- Cars coming from Green Level, turn right into the school (vs most of them turn left). They come in just far enough to drop their kid on the sidewalk on GL road and then turn back around, almost as one rolling maneuver. Please keep your kids in the car and drop them off at the designated areas.
- Cars coming through the line turn left onto the second left (small lot with band trailers), drop off kid, and similar to #1, do it in one maneuver and then go against traffic to head back out of the carpool line. Please do not take shortcuts through the line and drop off kids at the designated areas.
- When people are turning left, the carpool line backs up because it’s hard to turn left. Then kids panic and get out of their cars from the bottom of the hill all the way to the turn of the line close to Roberts/Green Level. They are darting and some parents are on their phones not paying attention and could hit one of these kids. Remember right turn only onto Green Level.
Bell Schedule Survey
As part of the school bell times study, we are seeking input from students, parents, and staff regarding start and end times for elementary, middle, and high schools. Provide your input by October 28 by using this link HERE.

Not only this, but this hour will integrate new students into the school and allow different grades to interact. Students will be completing a survey during Advisory soon that allows them to provide feedback on activities they may be interested in. If you are interested in learning more about this event or Green Level’s Belonging Initiative, please reach out to Ms. Gordon at clgordon@wcpss.net.
