Immunizations:  Attention parents of rising 7th graders.  NC law requires Tdap and Meningococcal vaccines for entry into the 7th grade.  Immunizations need be to complete before your child tracks-in for the 2019-2020 school year.  Please bring proof of your child’s immunization records to our open house on July 8th. PTSA Spirit Wear:  There is an opportunity to order Spirit Wear through PTSA before our Open House.  Please go to https://armsptsa.memberhub.store/ to pre-order and have your Spirit Wear available on July 8th.  These orders must be completed by June 23rd. Please note the PTSA will also have Spirit Wear available at the Open House to purchase.  

Facility Update:  Our beautiful new home is almost done!  Please note that there is still some progress to be made on the building, Fussell Ave (the future entrance to Alston Ridge MS), and adding all the furniture.  The building is still closed to the public so please do not try and enter the facility at any time. We are on target for a Monday July 8th Certificate of Occupancy for the general public.  Thank you for your patience and understanding in the final stages of completion. 7/8/19 Open House Updated!:  We will have our first Open House on Monday July 8th.  We have also added a timeslot for students with IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) who receive Special Education Services.  This will be an opportunity to meet your case manager in a smaller setting. Families attending this session are also encouraged to attend their Track-specific Open House.  Below are the times for our day:

• Special Education Students – Monday, July 8 from 8:00-9:00 AM
• Tracks 1 & 3 – Monday, July 8 from 12:00-1:30 PM
• Tracks 2 & 4 – Monday, July 8 from 2:30-4:00 PM

Students and families will be receiving the following information during this day: student schedules, informal meet/greet with teachers, PTSA (membership, Spirit Wear, buying agendas, yearbook sales), Cafeteria information, Transportation information, Powerschool set-up, Volunteer Registration, PE uniforms, and much more.  Please know that Mr. Williams will also be sending a video to frontload information leading up to the Open House. Please reach-out with any questions or concerns.

Track 4 Building Tour:  Many Track 4 families have been seeking an opportunity to tour the building toward the end of July.  We have scheduled a short building tour for Track 4 families and students on Thursday July 25th from 5-6pm.  Please note this is not a "meet the teacher" event rather an opportunity to see the new building.  Open House for Track 4 families will still occur on July 8th. Any information missed during the Open House will be available when students track-in at the end of July and school starts.  PTSA is also working on being present on 7/25 to provide families with information and to purchase items.
