Band/Athletics Meeting!:  This is a friendly reminder that tomorrow, Monday June 10th, is our Band & Athletics meeting.  Join Mr. Kuni, our Band Director and Mr. Weidenburner, our Athletic Director in the Panther Creek High School Auditorium at 6:30pm.  Mr. Kuni and Mr. Weidenburner have teamed up at ARMS to provide parents and future students with information regarding both the Band and the Athletic Department.  Please review the flyers below regarding the Band & Athletic Information Session:

PTSA THANK YOU!:  Thanks to the ARMS PTSA for a successful first Spirit Night at Brixx in Parkside Commons this past week.  It was wonderful to see so many students and families supporting our new school. The staff absolutely loved meeting everyone too!  Stay tuned for more PTSA updates and information as we start our inaugural year at Alston Ridge MS.

PTSA Supply Kits: The PTSA has partnered with SchoolKids Supply Kits for families to purchase some general school supplies.  This is another great fundraiser effort by our PTSA. Please visit www.shopttkits.com and access ARMS Account Code #79520.  Please note that supplies won’t be delivered until July 21st (we have already communicated with staff with staff about this too).  Additionally, specific teams may be providing additional supplies needed once school starts. Please let the PTSA know if you have any questions!

Transportation Update:  This is a friendly reminder that transportation requests must be completed online at https://www.wcpss.net/busrider and need to be completed no later than tomorrow Monday June 10th in order to guarantee that your children receive transportation on the first day of school. Specific Bus Route information will be finalized and posted online on June 21st. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out us. The Transportation Operations Manager for our area will also be at our Open House on July 8th to answer any questions that we may not be able to answer.

July 8th Open House:  We will have our first Open House on Monday July 8th.  This is the first day students & parents are allowed in the building per the construction project managers and the Certificate of Occupancy.  And yes, Fussell Ave will be completed by then! (as many parents have been asking). Below are the times for Open House:

• Tracks 1 & 3 – Monday, July 8 from 12:00-1:30 PM
• Tracks 2 & 4 – Monday, July 8 from 2:30-4:00 PM

Students and families will be receiving the following information during this day: student schedules, informal meet/greet with teachers, PTSA (membership, Spirit Wear, buying agendas, yearbook sales), Cafeteria information, Transportation information, Powerschool set-up, Volunteer Registration, PE uniforms, and much more.  Please know that Mr. Williams will also be sending a video to frontload information leading up to the Open House.
