Wake Forest MLK Competition 2021

Each year, the Wake Forest MLK Committee has a program to celebrate and continue the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King. The program in January 2021 will mark the 26th anniversary of the celebration in the Wake Forest community. As part of the celebration a contest is offered to the students of the Wake Forest/Rolesville schools to showcase their talents in creative performance, writing and art based on a theme. Their contest entries will be judged by a panel and the winners will be recognized on a virtual program on Thursday, January 21, 2021. The winners will receive a financial award.

This year has brought many challenges as well as opportunities in how we all do things. In the Wake County school system we recognize some students are doing schools virtually and others are doing in-school learning. The Wake Forest MLK Committee has developed a website where the students can access the information regarding the contests as well as upload their entries upon completion. We have been amazed at the depth and talents of our students and we look forward to their participation.
