8th Grade Field Trip Deadline: 8th grade families, please do not forget that all field trip paperwork and the $110 down payment for students interested in going on the Washington, D.C. Field Trip is due this Friday, October 6th. This packet of paperwork and payment are required to reserve a spot for each student for the trip. Students were given copies of the paperwork last week, but you can also access a digital copy at this link. Payments can be made online through the Wake County Online Payment System by going to tinyurl.com/AFMSpayment. Parents who are interested in chaperoning the trip should complete the final page of the packet and fill out the chaperone lottery survey that is linked at the bottom of that page. Chaperones will be notified if they are selected through the chaperone lottery by no later than Friday, October 13th. National Bullying Prevention Month: October is National Bullying Prevention Month, and we want to bring awareness around bullying prevention. We are asking our AFMS family to wear blue to show your support on Monday, October 2 for World Bullying Prevention Day
Athletics News: Our Apex Friendship Middle School sports teams will host Lufkin Road Middle School this Wednesday and Thursday. Admission for the girls' soccer and volleyball game is $6.00. Admission for the football game is $6.00. An AFMS Student Charger Pass can be purchased for $35.00. This pass will get you into every AFMS home athletic game this school year. If you are interested, please see Coach Purvis for more details. The concession stand will be open for all the games during the fall sport season.
