Year End Technology Updates: the status of Chromebook replacements and device return for Seniors

Broken Chromebooks can no longer be replaced this school year. As we near the end of the school year, the district office is unable to continue supplying refurbished devices as replacements for broken Chromebooks. The district office is currently preparing devices to distribute for the upcoming school year. All students who do not have a district device will be assigned one at the beginning of the 2021-22 school year.

Any student who has a WCPSS-issued hotspot must return it to their school by the end of the school year (June 8-10). Hotspots will be disabled after the last day of school. Students who have a WCPSS-issued Chromebook will keep their Chromebook through the transition to the 2021-22 school year except for Seniors or students transferring to another school district must return their device and all components associated with it.
