EWHS Weekly Message – Week of August 19, 2019

Schedule Changes

Student schedules for the 2019-2020 school year were placed in the mail on Monday, August 12th for all students registered at that time. Students that already have access to WakeID and PowerSchool can also review their schedule by logging into their account. Schedule change requests must be submitted electronically using the link below! All schedule changes will take place before the first day of school. No schedules will be changed on or after August 26.  If a course is dropped after the 10th day of the semester, the course will appear on the transcript as WF (Withdraw Failing).

Schedule corrections will only be considered for the following reasons:

  • The student is scheduled in a course he/she has previously passed.
  • The student is scheduled in a class that has a prerequisite that has not been completed.
  • The student is missing a class required to meet a graduation requirement (for on-time graduation).
  • The student has more /fewer than eight classes.
  • The student is placed in the wrong level of class.

The following reasons are NOT considered appropriate reasons for schedule changes and will not be honored:

  • Dropping or adding a course because you changed your mind. This includes all AP courses.
  • Block (class period) preference.
  • Teacher preference.
