EWHS Weekly Message – Week of April 1, 2019

 

Report Card Pick-up | Parent can pick up their child’s report card from the school atrium on Thursday, April 4 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.  You will be able to request a parent-teacher conference at this event.

 

Report Cards | Report cards will be sent home with students on Friday, April 5.

 

Band Concert | Our band program will have a concert on Thursday, April 4 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.

 

Leadership/School Improvement Meeting | The school improvement team will meet in the Media Center on Tuesday, April 2 from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.  All parents are welcome to attend the meeting.

 

Senior Picnic Volunteer Signup | The 2019 Senior Picnic is scheduled for Friday, May 31st. Volunteers and donations are needed for this event. There is a signup form on the school website for anyone interested in participating. Donations can be dropped off in Ms. Reynolds Room 142. Click here to signup.

 

Scholarships | Seniors should visit our school website at https://www.wcpss.net/Page/36874 for scholarship information.  If a student receives a scholarship, no matter if they accept the scholarship or not should turn it into Student Services.  The student will be recognized at the Senior Awards Day Program for this accomplishment.  For more information, Seniors should see their Guidance Counselor.

 

Warrior Sidewalk Logos | The Warrior Club is selling warrior sidewalk logos.  For more information, click here.

 

Volunteers Needed at Sporting Events | Please help and support our athletic teams by volunteering in our concession stand.  Upon arrival; all volunteers are invited to enjoy one food item and a drink.  Thank you in advance!!!  To sign up, click on the following links:  Soccer – click here; Track – click here

 

School Improvement Plan | The purpose of school improvement is to improve achievement and outcomes for every student by working to eliminate the ability to predict achievement based on socioeconomic status, race, and ethnicity.  We do this by collaboratively and continuously analyzing data and making decisions considering the unique needs of the learning community and the district's strategic plan.  To view our school’s plan, please click here.  The login information is located on the right side of the screen.

 

Food Pantry | Did you know that our school has a Food Pantry? If you are experiencing or you know of a family that is experiencing a stressful time and needs food, the East Wake High School Food Pantry is here to help. The Interfaith Food Shuttle recently stocked our pantry with fresh fruit, vegetables, and meats for families that may be experiencing difficult times. EWHS Food Pantry is open to any family in need.
