EWHS Weekly Message – Week of February 18, 2019

 

 

Teacher Workday | Monday, February 18, is a teacher workday.  The school will be closed to students.  Students will return on Tuesday, February 19, 2019.

 

PTSA Meeting | The Warrior Club will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, February 19, at 6 p.m. in the Media Center.

 

Conference Champions | Congratulations to our varsity boys basketball team (first champions in 27 years), varsity girls basketball team (back to back champions), and junior varsity boys basketball team for winning the regular season conference championship for the Greater Neuse River 3A Conference.  The varsity boys and girls basketball teams will be the #1 seed in the conference tournament this week.  Please come out to support both teams.  Warrior passes will not be accepted for admissions into the conference tournament.  Admission is $7.

Volunteers Needed at Sporting Events | Please help and support our athletic teams by volunteering in our concession stand.  Upon arrival; all volunteers are invited to enjoy one food item and a drink.  Thank you in advance!!!  To sign up, click on the following links:  Basketball Tournament – click here;

 

School Improvement Plan | The purpose of school improvement is to improve achievement and outcomes for every student by working to eliminate the ability to predict achievement based on socioeconomic status, race, and ethnicity.  We do this by collaboratively and continuously analyzing data and making decisions considering the unique needs of the learning community and the district's strategic plan.  To view our school’s plan, please click here.  The login information is located on the right side of the screen.

 

Food Pantry | Did you know that our school has a Food Pantry? If you are experiencing or you know of a family that is experiencing a stressful time and needs food, the East Wake High School Food Pantry is here to help. The Interfaith Food Shuttle recently stocked our pantry with fresh fruit, vegetables, and meats for families that may be experiencing difficult times. EWHS Food Pantry is open to any family in need. Yearbook | Yearbooks are currently $70 (including tax) for students.  Checks can be made out to EWHS or cash should be taken to Ms. Anderson’s room 159.  Yearbooks can be ordered at  www.jostensyearbooks.com.  We do not order extras at the end of the year, and we always sell out every year.  Order yours today while the price is still low.

  • Varsity Baseball @ Nash Central (Scrimmage)
