Hurricane Florence – Make-up Days | The weather make-up days have been revised.  September 28 and October 19 were early release days, but will now become full school days.  October 31 was designated as a teacher workday and will now serve as a school day.

WCPSS Child Nutrition | If your student is eating school meals this year after receiving meals benefits last year, the 2017-2018 benefits will expire on Tuesday, October 9.  Please be sure to apply now for the 2018-2019 benefits.  The process is even easier now with the online application for free and reduced meal prices.  Go to www.wcpss.net/meals to determine if your student qualifies and then complete the online application.  Paper copies of the application are also available in the front office of the school.

ChickTech | Chick Tech High School is a free year-long program that introduces 100 high school girls to technology. The program kicks off with a 2-day event on Dec 1st and 2nd at Meredith College and then continues with monthly workshops around different careers, technologies, and companies. Food will be provided during the kick-off and all workshops. We also provide, on an as needed basis, transportation to and from events and childcare. Our program provides a fun, positive learning experience designed to build participants’ confidence in their technical abilities, give them positive role models, create connections with other young women from the RDU area, and create a positive association with technology creation. If you are interested, please see Mrs. Coble in 2223-D.
