The first HOSA-Future Health Professionals Summit was held at UNC Chapel Hill School of Medicine campus on February 22. East Wake HOSA was invited to attend and advisors Latonia Bulgin and Jennifer Sanders took HOSA student members from East Wake High School. Students were given the opportunity to network with current healthcare professionals ln various fields, gain insight from current students and faculty members in various fields including medical, nursing, dentistry, physical and occupational therapy, and  other graduate programs such as public health as well as ask any questions regarding admission to certain medical programs. Students who attended were: Kimberly Aguila-Ayala, Merely Blondel, Shavon Foust, Patricia Marin Mendez, Grisselle Ocampo, Katherine Ortega, Ashley Salazar, Brando Torres-Gomez.
