July 25, 2022 - Message to Track 4

Track 4 Reminders and Updates!

Greetings Parkside Families on Track 4 – I hope you are doing well and ready to start the school year, we are ready to welcome you this Friday, July 29th! There is a lot of information here – please look for what is needed for you (by grade level, transportation, lunch, etc.) and skip over the rest :)

Meet the Teacher (Grades 1-5) Specifics:

Teacher assignments (Grades 1-5)- teacher assignments will post outside the front entrance by 4:30pm on Thursday July 28th.

Doors will open at 4:55 to the school for meet the teacher (Grades 1-5 ONLY). This is a floating event for students and their parents/guardians and will end promptly at 5:30 as we transition to curriculum night. If you have more than one student, I suggest a divide and conquer approach with another parent, guardian, or family member. :)

At 5:30 an announcement will be made for students to transition with identified staff for activities while parents return to the classroom for information regarding the grade level's Q1 curriculum beginning promptly at 5:45. Parents/guardians/family members will then pick their child up at an indicated location around 6:15 and we'll be ready for the next day!

It is not required that families stay for curriculum night. However, those arriving after 5:30 will not be able to have their child "meet the teacher" as the curriculum presentation will be in progress.

As you can see, timing is key with this evening meant to both introduce students to their teacher as well as provide families valuable information about what students will be learning BEFORE they begin learning it!  If possible, small siblings should stay home for their own comfort (we will not be able to provide activities for younger siblings). Also, those with rising Kindergarten students - this is NOT their meet the teacher or curriculum night and so they also, if possible should not attend (and we will not have activities for them).

Finally, ONE parent will be able to walk their child into school on July 29th (ONLY).
