America to Me Documentary

We are inviting GLHS parents and students to engage in a webinar on the “America to Me” documentary. America to Me Documentary is a 10 episode unscripted documentary series of a high school aired in 2018.  The Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Steve James (Hoop Dreams, Life Itself) examines racial, economic, and class issues in contemporary American education.   Our plan is to watch an episode together (5:30 to 6:30) and then engage in an open safe dialogue (6:30 to 7:30) in one chat room for GLHS parents and one chat room for GLHS students. If you are interested in joining these conversations, please complete this link: https://forms.gle/ArqEHTPxuoBcxYjY7 by Monday, April 27.

Hint:  You need to be logged into Google to complete the form.  We will email you information on April 28 about the first meeting.  Feel free to watch the episodes on your own if you cannot commit to 2 hours.
