You are receiving this notice because your student is enrolled this semester in either English IV, English IV Honors, or AP Literature.  
  

Starting on November 12 and over the next week or so, these classes will receive a presentation from our student services / counseling team related to the Signs of Suicide.  This letter is being sent home with students this week, but we are sending this email to ensure that parents receive it.  This is a lesson that is delivered across the district to all 12th grade students.
  

While we see value in the information being presented, please know that AFHS is committed to respecting the decision of any parent who does not wish their student to participate in this lesson.  Please communicate that to SAP Counselor Ms. Burden (ksburden@wcpss.net).  You may also reach out to Ms. Burden with any questions about the SOS lesson.
