Senior Update 4-19-21

Dear Class of '21 Parents,


Parents, please remind your seniors to check their student emails regularly as they also receive weekly updates. 


Graduation RSVP

If you have not already RSVP’d for the graduation ceremony please RSVP TODAY.  Graduation Ceremony Participation. If you do not plan on attending the AFHS graduation please email our registrar, Ms. Colhoun:


Senior Survey

The Senior Survey is required to receive your graduation tickets. Once you have made your after graduation plans (college, career, military, other) then please complete the senior survey


Google Form for Correct Name Pronunciation

Coming soon you will receive a link to a google form so that we can ensure we have the correct pronunciation of your name for the graduation ceremony in June.


Save the Date! Senior Day at AFHS-May 26th

All Seniors, mark your calendars for May 26th. Information on cap/gown pick up, Honor Stole, Honor Cord Pick up.  More information regarding this day for Seniors will be released in the coming weeks. 

Have you ordered your cap/gown?

If you have not ordered yet, you must order now to receive it in time for graduation. 

You have many packages to choose from but the only one that is required for the graduation ceremony is the basic package. This includes: AFHS cap, gown, tassel, and white AFHS stole. 


Honor Stole Notification Emails Sent

If your gpa earned you the red AFHS Honor Stole, then you have been notified via student email on 4/15/21. The OSP link to order the optional honor stole is included in the email. Honor stoles are optional to purchase and will be ready for pick up on May 26th. For questions contact Ms. Colhoun, the registrar, at


Class of 2021 Peak PROMenade May 22nd

The Town of Apex, Apex High School, and Apex Friendship High School would like you to save the date for Peak PROMenade! This event is a collaboration between the Town of Apex, Apex High, and AFHS. Our AFHS event is scheduled for Saturday, May 22nd. Details. More information will be provided in the coming weeks regarding ticket purchases, restaurant specials for PROMenade, etc.


FAFSA Drive Through Assistance

One-on-one FAFSA help from the safety of your car is coming to a community near you. The Drive-In to Your Future event is on Saturday, April 24th from 10am-2pm.  FAFSA Completion Drive-In Assistance in our area is April 24, 2012 at two locations of Wake Technical Community College REGISTER   Students and families need to bring a charged laptop or mobile device. Masked volunteers will answer questions through the car window.

Scholarship Offers

Please email your scholarship offers to Ms. Maxwell, . Last year AFHS earned over 10M in scholarships, let’s try to beat that record with the Class of 2021.


College Map 

If you have already made your college decision and you wish to be featured on our AFHS College Map, please use your STUDENT EMAIL to fill out this google doc and upload a copy or screenshot of your acceptance (in PDF or Image). 


Are you joining the Military after graduation?
