Senior Update 2-22-21

Dear Class of '21 Parents,


Parents, please remind your seniors to check their student emails regularly as they also receive weekly updates. 


Cap/Gown Pictures

Optional photo session scheduled for February 23rd. Jostens will provide the cap/gown for the photo. Registration required.


Cap/Gown Pick up

**NEW DATE** March 16, 2021 from 3:00pm-5:00pm by alpha DETAILS


Please Note:

IF your gpa qualifies you for the optional red honor stole then you will be notified at a later date. At that time, honor stoles will be available for optional purchase and pick up at a later date.

IF you are borrowing a Cap/Gown and you only need the 2021 tassel then please bring $12 CASH for Jostens and you can pick up a tassel.


We are getting our College Map ready!

If you have already made your college decision and you wish to be featured on our AFHS College Map, please use your STUDENT EMAIL to fill out this google doc and upload a copy or screenshot of your acceptance (in PDF or Image). For ?’s contact


Mid-Year Transcripts

Some schools may request a mid-year transcript, if that applies to you then follow one of the three the guidelines below:

  1. IF the student applied using Common App, or Coalition App: Mid-Year Transcripts will be uploaded by your counselor in Mid-February (this will include senior year, semester one grades and re-ranked GPA.)
  2. IF the student did not apply through those avenues and did use CFNC to send their application and the school is requesting a mid-year transcript: Students would log onto their personal CFNC account and request the mid-year transcript.
  3. IF the student's out of state school is requesting a mid-year transcript and the student did NOT use Common App, or Coalition App then they will request their mid year transcript through:

AFHS Scholarship Opportunities Link 

Last year, AFHS seniors earned over $10M in scholarships! If you have received any scholarships, grants, etc. from any organization/school please email a copy of that award letter so that we can surpass last year's total.
