Safety of Students

Do not drop off students in the parking lot at morning arrival.  If you are not using the carpool line you will need to park and walk your children inside.   Be sure you are also not dropping students off from vehicles to walk to the bus loop.  Our carpool line moves very quickly especially this year.  As a school community, we must all work together to make sure we are prioritizing safety for our students. 

 

Sycamore Creek Attendance Data 

Last week our staff reviewed and analyzed student achievement data from quarter 2.  One piece of data that we looked at was a comparison of our attendance from quarter 1 to quarter 2.   As you can see on the chart below, the number of unexcused absences and unexcused tardies almost doubled!  We need your help to ensure that our students are here everyday to protect instructional time. Please partner with us and help us reach our goal of decreased absences and tardies for Quarter 3. 

 

 

Career Day

Call for Volunteers for Career Day!  Career day is an exciting time when Sycamore Students can learn about the wide range of careers there are in our community.  Career day is for 4th and 5th grade students and consists of three, 30 minute presentations and Q&A. If you are interested in sharing your career with Sycamore Students, please sign up - Career Day Sign Up.

 

Students will be in groups that will rotate from room to room, so chaperones will be needed as well to walk with them during transitions.  If you do not desire to speak, but would like to be a chaperone please also sign up using the link as well. 

 

You do not have to have a child in 4th or 5th grade to participate, so please consider sharing your career even if you have younger children.  

 

Please consider signing up for one or both of the Career Day sessions.
