Sycamore Creek PTA Clothing Drive

We know that this time of year especially Sycamore Creek families are looking for a way to give back to the community. With that in mind the PTA will be hosting a clothing drive to benefit Note in the Pocket November 28 thru December 16. The mission of Note in the Pocket is to provide quality clothing to homeless and impoverished children and families with dignity and love. We will be collecting NEW ONLY socks, underwear and long sleeve t-shirts in all sizes from child to adult. These are some of the highest need items for the families Note in the Pocket serves. Thank you for helping us show the holiday giving spirit SCES is known for.

Thanksgiving Meals

We are still in need of 8 pre-cooked turkeys for Thanksgiving meals provided to our families in need.  If you are able to help provide please email Mr. Gordon at sjgordon@wcpss.net.

Holiday Cheer

As the holiday season approaches, Sycamore Creek Elementary School would like to invite you to participate in our Holiday Cheer Program. This program is designed to provide gifts for families in need at our school. You can participate in one of two ways. You can request that your child(ren) be sponsored to receive gifts, or you can volunteer to sponsor a student in need. The identity of all children participating in the program will be kept confidential.

If you would like for your child(ren) to be sponsored, please fill out the form at the bottom of this page and return it to your child’s teacher no later than Friday, November 18th. To fill out the form electronically, please click here. Gift pick-up will be December 12-16 during school hours!

If you would like to sponsor a child, please fill out this form, and a Student Support Services member will send you a link to our Holiday Cheer Sign-up to select a child to sponsor on Monday November 21.  All gifts need to be returned to school unwrapped, by Friday, December 9th.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to one of our Student Support Services members: Kendall LeRoy (Kleroy@wcpss.net 919-867-7309), Scott Gordon (sjgordon@wcpss.net or 919-435-4085), Brian Burton (bmburton@wcpss.net 919-576-0240) Thank you so much and we look forward to working with your families!

Picture Make-Up Days

Track 1 and 3 have their picture make-up day on Tuesday, November 29th. Any students unhappy with their portrait are welcome to retake their picture. They do, however, need to return their original photos.

For those students that were absent on the original picture day, they need to have their photograph taken regardless if they are ordering pictures or not as these photographs are used for the yearbook. You can ask your child’s teacher for a hard copy of the order form or purchase online using this digital flier.
