M. Brunson's Principal Updates on August 19, 2019

I hope everyone is having a great start to your week!   If you have not already please come in and register as an approved volunteer for the 2019-2020 school year.  We would love your support!

New Counselor

Our new school counselor started today!  Be sure to reach out to Mrs. Augustyniewicz  or Mr. Gordon if you have any needs, questions, or concerns!

Safety and Security

Safety and security of our students and staff are a priority!   As we prepare for a new WCPSS Volunteer Management System that scans licenses for all visitors, guests, volunteers, and parents, we ask that you all start bringing your driver's license inside when coming to the office to check in/checkout, volunteer, or have lunch.

Money Donations in Individual Classes

Just a reminder that room parents should not be requesting class donation funds that they personally manage.  WCPSS guidelines do not allow us to do this and we want to be sure we are not putting this level of liability on our room parents.   The two options we do have is to request donations of specific items needed for an individual class or families may give donations through our PTA to be put into the Classroom Resources fund and then classes can request items of need.

Volunteers Needed in Media Center

The media center is in desperate need of weekly volunteers.  Please email Andrea Lyons if interested at

Free and Reduced Meal Benefits

Visit or request a paper application from the front office.  If your household had approved meal benefits during the 2018-2019 school year, these benefits will expire on the dates below. Please allow ten working days for meal benefits eligibility determination.
