Family Updates - April 24th, 2022

Greetings, Lynn Road Families!  I’m hopeful that everyone had a great weekend!  Thank you to all of the families that were able to support us with Campus Cleanup this past weekend.  It was an amazing event, and we had a really great turnout.  Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

Below are a few updates for the upcoming week.  We look forward to a great week of learning and growing!

Panorama Survey

The Panorama Survey window is now open until May 6th.  This is a valuable opportunity for you to provide us feedback that will help us improve our relationships with families.  Please take the time to complete this survey.  We would like to have a 90% or higher participation rate.  The survey can be completed at THIS LINK.  You can also request a paper copy of the survey if preferred.

EOG Testing Schedule

All 3rd through 5th grade students take End of Grade (EOG) Tests in reading and math.  Students in 5th grade will also take a science EOG Test.  Below is the schedule for this year.  It is important that your student is present to take the test so that they do not have to make it up later.  All tests will be given in-person; virtual students will need to come to the building on their assigned days.

  • Friday, 5/27 — 5th Grade Science
  • Tuesday, 5/31 — 3rd Grade Reading
  • Wednesday, 6/1 — 4th & 5th Grade Reading
  • Thursday, 6/2 — 3rd Grade Math
  • Friday, 6/3 — 4th & 5th Grade Math
  • Week of June 6th - 10th — Make up Tests

EOG Test Proctors

EOG tests require people that administer the test (certified teachers) and people to proctor.  Due to the amount of people that are needed to meet the requirements, we are asking for volunteers to fill the proctor positions.  If you are available to proctor during any of the above testing days, please complete THIS FORM.  Our testing coordinator will contact people to schedule proctor training and share any needed information.

Teacher Appreciation Week

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 2nd - May 6th.  Please take some time to show our staff how much you appreciate them as they continue to work diligently to support our students and community.

Yearbook sales are open until April 30th.  Yearbooks can be ordered and paid online for $15.  We also accept cash or check using the envelopes that were sent home with students.  If you choose to make an online purchase, you do not need to send the envelope back to the school.  Online orders can be made at using the order code YB100798.  You are also encouraged to upload candid photos to be included in our yearbook.  All candid photos must be uploaded to THIS LINK by April 30th if you would like them to be considered.

Contact Information

If you have recently changed your phone number or address, please take a minute to come by the school so that we can update your information.  It is extremely important that we have accurate contacts so that you receive information from the school and in case of an emergency.

Literacy at Home

Early literacy skills are extremely important for a student to grow and develop into a proficient reader.  Use THIS LINK from the Department of Public Instruction to get specific ideas that you can use at home to support the growth of your child’s literacy skills.
