Greetings Jet Parents,

I hope each of you have had a wonderful 3-day weekend! Below are some announcements for you:

Girls on the Run (for parents of girls in grades 3-5)

Girls on the Run of the Triangle is excited to offer your girl amazing activities, engaging, meaningful discussions, and the chance to be active; all woven into the Girls on the Run one-of-a-kind bonding experience--online!

The fee is $170, and includes a personal journal, shiny 5k medal, cool completion certificate, and GOTR tee shirt.

Keep her active, keep her healthy, and watch your GOTR girl go!

Istation Assessment for All Grades K-5

The Istation’s Indicators of Progress (ISIP™) assessment helps teachers understand how they can personalize your child’s learning. Now ISIP is available for students to take at home. Students will be assessed between the window of Sept. 1st-30th.  Classroom teachers will provide specific instructions for when each  child should log-in and complete the assessment.  Please do not have your child log in to Istation or begin the assessment until the classroom teacher provides those directions.  These parent links are for your reference and contain additional information about the Istation assessment.

Chromebook Distribution This Week

The district is still working to obtain and distribute the 50,000 Chromebooks requested by families. This week, there will be three distribution sites, Enloe HS, Apex HS, and Knightdale HS. These sites will be open on Tuesday and Friday only from 9:00-4:00 each day. If you need a device, but have not yet requested one, please contact our Assistant Principal, Loren Pinkney, at

P2 This Week: Teamwork

In P2 this week, students will learn more about the character trait of teamwork. Teamwork is the ability and willingness to place overall, group success as a higher priority than individual achievement. To support your conversation about teamwork at home, check out Positivity Project for Families. The password is P2.

Curbside Lunch Pickup

Remember, BCES is a Curbside Lunch Pickup location. Hot lunches and breakfast for the following day can be picked up in the carpool loop from 10:45-12:45 each day. Through December 31, all Wake County students may receive breakfast and lunch via Curbside Service at no cost.

I wish everyone well this week!

Take care,

Kathy Livengood
