Time-Sensitive Information for Parents | March 3, 2020

Good afternoon parents,

I am writing mid-week because I have several pieces of time-sensitive information for you today.

First, many of you received an email this morning that stated it was from Brier Creek Elementary School. It was not. This email was sent by an outside organization, MemberHub. Our PTA works with MemberHub to manage membership and communication, however, neither the school  nor the PTA has authorized commercial or promotional emails. Neither the school nor the PTA had any knowledge about the email that went out this morning prior to it being sent. You can expect that you will not receive promotional emails such as this again in the future.

Second, if your child is sick, please do not send him/her to school. Daily, we send 3-4 students home before 10:30 who have a fever. If your child has a fever, he/she must be fever-free without the assistance of medicine for at least 24 hours before he/she can come to school. We are promoting frequent hand-washing here at school and are asking that visitors also wash their hands when they enter our building.

Speaking of visitors, our T3/T4 Run Around the World is tomrorow! We hope parents will come out and cheer on their children during specials time. Please enter the gym directly through the exterior doors located near the walker entrance/exit.

Also, I hope you will come see our talented Jets and this year's Talent Show! Because we have so many amazing students, the show is a two-night event this year! It begins at 6:00 pm tonight and tomorrow night. Mr. Pinkney will emcee and it is sure to be great!

If you have quesitons, please feel free to email either me or your child's classroom teacher.

Thanks and take care,

Kathy Livengood
