Important Updates

 

UPDATE: Tuesday, November 2 - Teacher Workday

 

There will be no school for students on Tuesday, November 2 due to a Teacher Workday. 

 

UPDATE: Report Cards Go Home Friday, Nov. 5

 

Report cards go home for all students on Friday, November 5. Virtual Academy students will have them emailed, and in-person students will have them sent home with students.

 

UPDATE: Fall Conferences

 

Contact your child’s teacher if you haven’t had your Fall Parent/Teacher conference

 

UPDATE: EXTENDED - Staff Appreciation items

 

We are EXTENDING the time for families to drop off items for our staff appreciation. This coming week will be the last week we will be accepting items. Currently, we have a total of about 75 staff members. HUGE THANK YOU to all of those families that have already provided items.

 

As we all know, our Brentwood staff has been working very hard this year! We want to show our appreciation for them and all that they do for our students and families. Feel free to drop off items at the front office or carpool to show your appreciation for our staff. Reminder: Upcoming Testing in 3rd and 4th Grade

 

Nov. 3-5: CogAT Assessment for all 3rd & 4th graders



Reminder: Important COVID Procedures and Protocols

 

Please make sure to refer to the Safe to School Plan for Families for all Health and Safety Guidelines. 

All students should have their temperature taken every day at home before coming to school. You may not enter a WCPSS facility if you are:

  • Diagnosed with COVID-19 within the last 10 days
  • Exposed to COVID-19 within the last 14 days and not fully vaccinated
  • Instructed to quarantine
  • Sick or experiencing any of these symptoms of illness
    • Fever or chills
    • Cough
    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
    • Fatigue
    • Muscle or body aches
    • Headache
    • New loss of taste or smell
    • Sore throat
    • Congestion or runny nose
    • Nausea or vomiting
    • Diarrhea

IMPORTANT: Please know that parents will be contacted if their child experiences any of the above symptoms while at school, and will need to be picked up. 

 

COVID like symptoms will require a negative PCR test OR alternate diagnosis by a medical provider AND the student must have felt well and been fever free for 24 hours without medication to return. Please refer to the following link for more information: https://www.wcpss.net/WhenToReturn.
