Important Updates
IMPORTANT: All Walker Families PLEASE READ
We have been having some issues with families picking up their child(ren) out of the line while students are walking to the walker pick-up location. We want to ensure the safety of all of our students, therefore, please wait until your child has arrived at that assigned location before picking them up.
Students will not be allowed to be picked-up by parents out of the line but rather the assigned walker pick-up location. Staff will greet K-2 families at the back Media Center door (that faces the modular unit).
Please remember, the only students that are designated as walkers have been approved by school administration. If your child has not been approved by school administration, they are not considered a walker and would need to go through carpool.
If you have any questions regarding these procedures, please contact administration.
UPDATE: SPIRIT WEEK starts next week (Sept. 27- Oct. 1st)
Our first Brentwood Spirit Week of the year begins next week in celebration of September attendance awareness month and October bully prevention month. We hope all students join our staff in participating in Spirit Week. See the below flyer for more details on Spirit Week:
UPDATE: Interim Reports
Interims for all students were sent home by teachers this past Friday. If you have not yet received this report, please contact your child’s teacher.
Reminder: Important COVID Procedures and Protocols
Please make sure to refer to the Safe to School Plan for Families for all Health and Safety Guidelines.
All students should have their temperature taken every day at home before coming to school. You may not enter a WCPSS facility if you are:
- Diagnosed with COVID-19 within the last 10 days
- Exposed to COVID-19 within the last 14 days and not fully vaccinated
- Instructed to quarantine
- Sick or experiencing any of these symptoms of illness
- Fever or chills
- Cough
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Fatigue
- Muscle or body aches
- Headache
- New loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea or vomiting
- Diarrhea
IMPORTANT: Please know that parents will be contacted if their child experiences any of the above symptoms while at school, and will need to be picked up.
COVID like symptoms will require a negative PCR test OR alternate diagnosis by a medical provider AND the student must have felt well and been fever free for 24 hours without medication to return. Please refer to the following link for more information: https://www.wcpss.net/WhenToReturn.
