Principal’s Message
Greetings Washington Families,
Mrs. Ratley, an awesome Assistant Principal, sends out reminders and school-wide blasts via dojo. Please do not respond as she does not read the responses. If you need to contact Mrs. Ratley or the office please use email or call during business hours.
Spring break will be here soon. It is the first week of April. March does have two workdays - no school for students; Tuesday, March 7th, and Friday, March 31st.
Let’s make it a great week at 1000 Fayetteville Street!

School Updates
*Campus Clean-Up - On Wednesday, we will host visitors from the Magnet Schools of America organization. On Tuesday, March 7th, you can help us prepare for our Magnet Visit! Teams will work to give the front entrance and campus some extra love. They will need help picking up loose tree limbs, pulling weeds from natural areas, picking up trash, and trimming hedges(if you have a trimmer). Please bring your own gloves and water. Teams will be working during school hours.
*Remember to check students’ "Monday Folders" and backpacks, for important updates from your child’s teacher and our school. We’ve noticed some students' backpacks are full of items they don’t need and they are heavy!!
*Students should have a personal set of headphones to use at school. This helps to decrease distracting noise levels when students are working on their devices in the classroom.
*Parents can drop off snacks, treats, water(plain, sparkling, or flavored), and coffee items for the staff lounge any time during school hours, or in the carpool lane. Food items should be individually wrapped. Thank you to parents who have already sent items in. We appreciate it more than you know! The PTA will manage the items and ensure they are available for staff.
