Principal’s Message
Greetings Washington Families,
It’s been a busy few months and we are only a few days away from an extended break! I am so proud of our students, staff, and community for the ways we have worked together to support each other. I continue to be amazed at the gifts and talents of our students and the joy on their faces as they learn and grow daily! As we enter the holiday season and head toward 2023, I hope that you are able to take time with your family to rest, replenish and celebrate!
Mr. Hooper, our Interim Principal, will start at Washington on January 3 as my husband and I prepare to welcome a baby girl. He is looking forward to working closely with all of you to support the Wiz Kids at Washington. Thank you for your love and support of me during this special time for my family. I am so grateful for you all and I will see you in a few short months.

Congratulations to Ms. Tertia Jones, Kindergarten Instructional Assistant, on her retirement! Ms. Jones has worked at Washington for many years and supported many students during her tenure. We are so grateful for her service to our school community and wish her all the best!
