Walk your Schedule
Due to the great attendance our Walk your Schedule event generates each year, we are combining our Open House and Walk your Schedule events. Therefore, our Walk your Schedule event will function more like our Open House where students and parents will follow their child's schedule and listen to brief presentations from their teachers. We encourage you to arrive early and enjoy some of our food trucks, take pictures at our selfie spaces, and tour the campus. Our Walk your Schedule event will start promptly at 5:30 pm for our 7th and 8th grade students. 6th grade students and parents that were unable to attend the summer camp may visit with their teachers during this time as well. More information about “Walk your Schedule & Open House” can be found by visiting this LINK.
7th Grade Immunizations
All 7th grade students must provide documentation that they have received the Tdap and Meningococcal vaccine. We must receive this documentation by September 29th. Failure to do so will result in your child being excluded from school. You may bring your child’s updated shot records to the school between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm, email them to Ms. Donna Lanham at dlanham@wcpss.net or fax them to 919-670-4397.
Only Medical and Religious exemptions are accepted in NC. For more information about exclusions, please visit http://www.immunize.nc.gov/schools/ncexemptions.htm

Athletics
7th and 8th grade students wishing to participate on a athletic team in the fall must set up/update their account in Dragonfly. You will upload your child's physical form, acknowledge parent/student contracts, and etc. on this site. Please follow this LINK for instructions on how to set up your account. Please email Coach Umphrey at vumphrey@wcpss.net if you have any questions.
PowerSchool
We have disabled the parental view for PowerSchool until we finish balancing schedules. We will enable it in August once the majority of schedules have been completed. If your child is able to view their schedule in PowerSchool, please know that it is subject to change as we work to balance classes and ensure every student is scheduled for 6 classes. I will send out information about how to register for PowerSchool if you do not have an account at a later date.
School Supply List
Here is a general supply list for the 2023-2024 school year. A more detailed list for each grade level will be provided at "Walk-Your-Schedule" on Thursday, August 24, 2023 (and online sometime that same week). However, teacher-created lists are not expected to be much more extensive than the general list.
