New Announcements
EOG/EOC Testing
As part of the state and federal legislation, students in grades 3-8 are administered the End of Grade (EOG) and End of Course (EOC (Math 1)) tests at the end of the school year. The state requires these tests to be administered in person.
In order for us to plan appropriately, we need to know how many Virtual Academy students will be attending on those days to take their tests. Please complete this Google Form. The proposed schedule for our End of Year testing can be found below. Only the parents of Virtual Academy students need to complete the Google form. The deadline to complete the Google form is April 30th.
If you have more than one Virtual Academy student in grades 6-8, please complete this form separately for each student.
In addition, EOG scores do not factor into a students overall grade for the course. They are used to determine if students are meeting academic expectations at each grade level as well as measure teacher’s effectiveness and as a measurable component for school accountability. While I encourage all of our students to take the end of year test, students will not be penalized if they do not take the EOG/EOC test.
EOC test (Math 1) accounts for 20% of a students overall grade in the course however, if a student elects not to take the EOC, the student’s grade will be averaged using their 1st and 2nd semester grades. Students enrolled in Math 2 will take a teacher made exam for their end of year exam not an EOC test.
If you have any questions regarding the EOG/EOC test, feel free to reach out to your child’s teachers.

Ongoing Announcements
Lunch & Check-in Procedures
As a reminder, we are unable to accept dropped-off lunches from home, restaurants, or door-dashed orders. If your child forgets their lunch, they may eat a school lunch for free. Lunch and Breakfast at the school are free for the reminder of the school year.
Student check-in and check-out procedures remain the same - please scan the QR code, posted on the Main Office front doors to check your son/daughter in or out of school. In addition, if your child arrives at school after 8:15 a.m., they will need to enter the school through the main office doors. Please do not drop them off in the carpool loop. There will not be a staff member there to let them in.
Health & PE
With the weather warming up, PE classes will be conducting more classes outside. Students participating in PE are required to wear tennis shoes. This ensures their feet are protected while performing all of the required activities during PE. Students that do not have tennis shoes to wear during PE, will be given an alternative assignment to complete for the day.
Health Guidelines
If your child becomes ill or begins displaying symptoms related to COVID, please use this link as a reference to know when he/she may return to school. These are the protocols and guidelines that we follow when making those decisions.
