Greetings Hodge Families!

Monday, October 31st, is Halloween for those who celebrate. Students will be permitted to dress up in costumes, but there are some guidelines. Students may not dress in gory or haunting costumes. Full face coverings are not permitted. Students may not bring weapon-like items such as swords, knives, or guns. We want students to enjoy the day and have fun while being school appropriate.

If your child’s classroom is having a party, food and candy contributions must be store bought. Please be advised of any classroom allergies that the teacher will share. We want to make sure everyone is safe. I highly suggest sending in nonfood items such as pencils, erasers, mini activity books, or trinkets.

Report Cards were sent home on Friday. Please be sure to review your child’s progress.

The Hodge Road PTA would like to invite your family to participate in their Little Caesar's Pizza Kit Fundraiser. Pizza kit sales will run from now through Monday, November 14. All sales forms must be returned by Monday, November 14 at noon. The PTA's goal is to sell 700 pizza kits and raise $4000 for the installation of new basketball hoops for our children. A paper sales form came home in your child's purple folder on Friday, October 28. Pizza kits can also be purchased online. See ClassDojo for instructions on online sales. The top seller for each grade level will earn an at home movie night kit that includes pizza, dessert, popcorn, and movie rental vouchers.

Just a reminder that morning drop off begins at 8:00 in the carpool line only. This is important for safety purposes. Only special needs students with established clearance can be dropped off in the bus loop.

We understand there may be occasions when you need to pick your child up early. Early pick up ends at 2:30. After 2:30 you will need to pick your child up in the carpool line. Please remain in your vehicle. Thank you for respecting the expectations that apply to everyone.

If you celebrate Halloween, I hope you enjoy tomorrow evening, and all of our students stay safe while trick or treating. Let’s remain Hodge Road Strong.

Your partner in education,

Felecia Dorsey, Principal
