Greetings Hodge Families!
Today, September 11th, marks the 21st anniversary of the attack our country endured. We will always remember those we lost and the heroes who stood strong. We honor them today.
Please join us on Thursday, September 15, for Hispanic Heritage Night from 6:00 -7:00 P.M. We are excited to have this annual event back in the building this year. There will be student projects displayed, food, and fun activities to learn about Hispanic culture. You don’t want to miss it.
Our goal at Hodge is for every child to meet grade level standards or beyond for both reading and math. We need your help to make this happen. Please make sure your child arrives to school on time by 8:30. We begin instruction immediately and instruct until 3:00. We are doing our very best to maximize learning time. When your child arrives late or is picked up early, they are missing important instruction.
School attendance is critical. If your child is absent, you have three days after your child has been out to submit a written excuse for their absence. According to the North Carolina Compulsory Attendance Law, once you reach ten unexcused absences you will be placed on an attendance contract that might be submitted to court for truancy.
Thank you for your support to ensure your child succeeds. Working together is what makes us Hodge Road Strong!
