Hello Raven Families,

 

I hope you had a restful weekend.  We have a very busy couple of weeks ahead.  Please read below for important updates.

 

New this week:



  • Tomorrow, Monday,  December 5th is an early release day.  Students will be dismissed at 12:20 p.m.

  • iReady middle of the year diagnostic testing is Monday and Tuesday.  Please make sure your student charges their Chromebook for testing.

  • Starting Monday, Wake County will no longer be replacing lost chargers.  If a student loses his/her charger, the replacement fee will be $30.  Please have a discussion with your child about keeping track of their charger. 

  • Our arts performances are this week.  Please come out and watch our talented Ravens perform:

    • Tuesday - 7th and 8th Grade Band Concert, @7 p.m.

    • Wednesday - 6th Grade Band Concert, @7 p.m.

    • Wednesday - Musical Auditions, @2:30 p.m.

    • Friday - Dance Concert, @6 p.m.

  • When your student is absent, please remember to send a note with the reason for their absence on the day the student returns to school. All absences are considered unexcused until a note for an excused reason is received in the attendance office.

  • You are now able to view your student’s school assignment for next year by logging into PowerSchool.  If you have any questions, reach out to your counselor.

 

PTA NEWS

 

  • HELP NEEDED! - PTA is hosting the Staff Holiday Party on Friday, December 16th at 2:30pm. We have 105 staff and faculty and need your help! PTA will send a sign up link and are asking for your assistance for holiday appetizers, desserts, etc. Food can be store bought or homemade!!! We need donations that can be used in the raffle. Gift cards, baskets, etc. are greatly appreciated!! Drop off items to Ms. Velez in the office.

  • The PTA board could use your help with planning events throughout the year. We have ideas but need others to assist in making these events possible!! Please reach out to NRMS PTA at neuseriverpta@gmail.com if interested! We would love to have you and appreciate any help!!

Hola familias de Raven,

 

Espero que hayan tenido un fin de semana reparador. Tenemos un par de semanas muy ocupadas por delante. Lea a continuación las actualizaciones importantes.

 

Nuevo esta semana:



  • mañana, lunes, 5 de diciembre es un día de salida temprana. Los estudiantes saldrán a las 12:20 pm

  • Las pruebas de diagnóstico iReady de mitad de año son los lunes y martes. Asegúrese de que su estudiante cargue su Chromebook para la prueba.

  • A partir del lunes, el condado de Wake ya no reemplazará los cargadores perdidos. Si un estudiante pierde su cargador, la tarifa de reemplazo será de $30. Hable con su hijo sobre cómo hacer un seguimiento de su cargador. 

  • Nuestras actuaciones artísticas son esta semana. Por favor venga y vea a nuestros talentosos Ravens actuar:

    • Martes - Concierto de banda de 7.º y 8.º grado a las 7 p.

    • Miércoles - Concierto de banda de 6.º grado a las 7 p

    • Miércoles - Audiciones musicales a las 2:30 p

  • Cuando su estudiante esté ausente, recuerde enviar una nota con el motivo de su ausencia el día que el estudiante regrese a la escuela. Todas las ausencias se consideran injustificadas hasta que se reciba una nota en la oficina de asistencia.

  • Ahora puede ver la asignación escolar de su estudiante para el próximo año iniciando sesión en PowerSchool. Si tiene alguna pregunta, comuníquese con su consejero.

 

NOTICIAS DE LA PTA

 

  • ¡SE NECESITA AYUDA! - La PTA organizará la fiesta navideña del personal el viernes 16 de diciembre a las 2:30 p. m. ¡Tenemos 105 empleados y profesores y necesitamos su ayuda! La PTA enviará un enlace de registro y está solicitando su ayuda para los aperitivos, postres, etc. de las fiestas. ¡La comida puede comprarse en la tienda o hacerse en casa! Necesitamos donaciones que puedan usarse en la rifa. ¡Tarjetas de regalo, canastas, etc. son muy apreciadas! Deje los artículos a la Sra. Vélez en la oficina.

  • La junta de la PTA podría usar su ayuda con la planificación de eventos durante todo el año. ¡Tenemos ideas pero necesitamos que otros nos ayuden a hacer posible estos eventos! ¡Comuníquese con la PTA de NRMS en neuseriverpta@gmail.com si está interesado! ¡Nos encantaría tenerte y agradecemos cualquier ayuda!
