Weekly Update 10-10-2022
COUGAR FAMILIES
FAMILY AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT NIGHT & PARENT CONFERENCES: We are excited to welcome all of our families on campus Monday 10/10 from 5pm - 7pm for our first Family Engagement and Evening Conference Session. Building our cougar family connections is one of our top priorities this year and we aim to provide multiple opportunities for all teachers, staff, and families to engage with one another. A few things to keep in mind as you prepare for our Family Engagement and Evening Conference event:
- Conference times will be available from 10:30am - 7pm with your child's teachers
- Please complete the registration form located here and your child's teacher will be in contact concerning a scheduled time.
- You can request a conference with any of your child's teachers, no matter their current grade
- This is a great way to connect with teachers and work together to ensure your students continued success.
- Food will be provided from 5:00pm - 6:00pm
- We know evening schedules can be full of "to-do's", let us take one thing off your plate by providing food for your family!
- Elective teachers will have several activities set up in the gymnasium for families
- These activities range from face paint to free throw contest. You don't want to miss these opportunities !
- We will have informational sessions running from 5:30pm - 7pm in 30 minute rotations. Each session will be offered 3 times that evening. These sessions will cover the following topics:
- Supporting your child's social emotional well being
- Power School and Canvas access/navigation as a parent
- Adolescent social media usage and parental supports
If you have a conference scheduled for earlier in the day or you do not need to conference with your child's teachers, we would LOVE to have you come out on Monday night for food, information sessions, and activities in the gym! You are not required to stay the entire time. We ask that you attend any scheduled conferences and attend other sessions and activities as needed to continue building those cougar family connections!
Again, we look forward to seeing everyone on Monday October 10th from 5pm - 7pm!
