11-4-19 Weekly Message

 

  • Congratulations to the Cary High School Marching Band on their execution of the 61st Annual Cary Band Day.  It was a wonderful day filled with great musical performances and marching band shows.  
  • The CHS Junior Class Bonfire will be this Thursday, November 7th from 7-9 pm at Phillips Farm.  There will be games, music, refreshments and lots of fun. Tickets will be sold at the door for $8 and this event is for current Cary High students only.  
  • Congratulations to the Men’s Varsity Soccer team on their 4-1 win over Athens Drive HS last Friday night.  That win clinches the Conference Championship for the team.  Now we await the seeding for the state playoffs.  
  • All 10th graders will take the Pre-ACT on Wednesday, November 6th.  We will run a modified schedule on that day to accommodate the testing session.  
  • There will be a PTSA Board meeting on Wednesday, November 6th from 5:30-6:30 in the Career Center.  
  • The School Improvement Team Meeting has been changed from November 6th to November 13th.  
  • Hispanic Parent Night workshop will be held on Wednesday, November 6th from 6-7:30  pm in the Media Center.  
  • School will be closed on Monday, November 11th in observance of Veteran’s Day.  
  • The Student Services team will hold their annual Senior Financial Aid Night workshop on Thursday, November 7th from 6:00 - 7:00 pm.
  • Report Card Time!!! We will send out report cards on Friday, November 8th.  Please review your students grades next weekend. This is a good time to discuss your student’s long range goals, attendance, and academic growth.  
  • The final home Varsity Football game will be held on Friday, November 8th at 7:00 pm.  We will play against Athen Drive High School and we will we will celebrate our seniors at this game.
  • We are excited to welcome Mrs. Sarisha Dawson to the Cary High School Administrative team.  Mrs. Dawson comes to us from Reedy Creek Middle School.
  • Mr. Smith from Balfour will be on campus Thursday, during lunch, to take cap and gown orders.  If you are a senior and you haven’t placed your order yet, please plan on stopping by the order table.
