Weekly Message April 26-April 30, 2019


Remote/Asynchronous Day: Wednesday, April 28, is a remote/asynchronous day. There will be no in-person classes held on this day.

Calendar Change: During the Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) Board of Education meeting on last Tuesday, the Board voted to move the previously planned Remote Learning Day from May 5 to Thursday, May 13. Thus, Thursday, May 13 now becomes a Remote Learning Day and Wednesday, May 5 becomes a regular day of school. Please review the WCPSS Traditional Calendar for updated information regarding this change.

Virtual Study: Students are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to meet with teachers during Virtual Study Hall hours and/or during individual teacher-student conferences. These sessions are held to help students stay on track as well as receive support from CFLEX teachers.

NC Virtual Courses End Date: May 18, 2021, is the final day for NC Virtual Courses. Students should complete all the missing work that the NC Virtual teacher is still accepting before the end of their course(s).


Current Juniors: As of 2020, state law mandates that ALL rising seniors have a Meningitis vaccination before beginning their senior year.  


Please submit a copy of your immunizations, showing the Meningitis vaccination, via email to (attn: Jennifer Wilkerson), or you may also fax it to 919-589-6714.

COVID-19 Vaccines are Available to Everyone Ages 16 and Older:  As of April 7, 2021, any age 16 and older may be vaccinated in North Carolina. Please refer to the WCPSS Community Message that was sent on April 13.
